In line with its commitment to excellence and growth, Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken is seeking a Trainee for Securities Order Processing (m/f/d) to join its Operations/Services team at the Luxembourg location, starting on November 1st, 2024. This position requires a detail-oriented individual capable of handling complex tasks in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Trainee Program Details
Duration: 12 to 18 months
Areas of Exposure:
- The trainee will engage in various tasks within the Operations/Services department, gaining comprehensive exposure to the bank’s operational processes.
- The program includes rotational assignments across different functions, providing a holistic understanding of the bank’s operations.
Training and Development:
- Trainees will receive intensive, individualized training from experienced employees, ensuring thorough preparation for future responsibilities.
- The program also offers insights into the interfaces between Operations/Services and other business areas, fostering a broad understanding of the bank’s overall operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background: Possess a degree in Economics or are on the verge of completing one.
- Relevant Experience: Ideally, have initial experience in the banking or securities sector.
- Professional Attributes: Demonstrate confidence, flexibility, teamwork, high resilience, and a methodical, targeted approach to work.
- Analytical Skills: Exhibit a quick grasp of concepts, the ability to identify priorities, and implement solutions independently.

- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in handling MS Office applications.

Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role is to work within the Back Office Securities Order Processing Group, managing and coordinating cross-segment tasks. Other responsibilities include:
- International Securities Transactions: Oversee and process international securities transactions across private banking, fund services, and treasury using an advanced reconciliation system. This responsibility spans our locations in Luxembourg, Germany, and Switzerland.
- Liaison Role: Serve as the primary contact for internal departments and external entities, including custodial positions and counterparties. Ensure effective communication and coordination to facilitate seamless operations.
- Project Support: Provide support to team members and lead initiatives within an agile environment. Contribute to the successful implementation of both ongoing and new projects.
- Problem Analysis and Resolution: Conduct thorough analysis of issues to identify root causes. Develop and implement clear, logical, and practical solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
